How do I ask friends to hang out

Pretty much the title.

My (16m) winter break is coming up and I’m scared that if I don’t ask anyone to do anything, I won’t see anyone.

I fear that when I ask them if they want to hang out, I would be placing pressure on them.

Is it too simple to just say “Hey, wanna hang out this week?”
