The only place I have ever made friends was school and I might have made another at work if she didn’t leave the province for another job. I feel hurt that I missed out, but at the same time got some confidence that I *can* make friends. I am looking to see what I can do to make friends, but I want to keep costs down so I don’t want to do things like paintballing every weekend or such.

I’d day monthly contact at a minimum. But in between those months you’d still need to reach out via text or an in-person (free?) get-together that you can afford. You want to see someone a couple times a month to build a friendship. (Monthly to have a chance of at least STARTING one.)
