What do you do when you’re with a group of mostly guys and there’s a girl around that you’re interested in romantically but she likes a friend of yours more? I’m very prone to jealousy and envy, how do I handle being skipped over and unseen over someone else?

  1. Stop calling it “stealing your thunder” because even unintentionally, you’re placing blame.

People have crushes on different people and this is nobody’s fault.

Next, you could do nothing, relax, and wait.
You could see if he’s interested. You could flirt, or be overt, with her. Any action could encourage them and also make you less attractive though.

The percent of crushes that work out is so tiny, really. I realize you’ve got a crush, and she has one too, just try to keep it in perspective okay? Don’t drive yourself crazy. Firstly, she’s not immediately into you. That’s a big sign to tap the brakes. Don’t obsess and don’t get stuck in your brain. Plus, releasing the pressure a little will help social situations feel smoother and easier.

  2. If she doesn’t like you, leave her alone. That’s the way to handle it.

Nobody is stealing a thing from you.
