I got with my crush a day ago and we’re going slow for now. Talking over the phone more often than before to say the least. I already told my mom and sister about it since I trust them with that kind of information. Anyway, I told her this and I guess she got the courage to do so for her own parents after hearing me say I told mom. After we hung up, she went to her parents and told them we got together. They were confused at first, and then accepting. Apparently they were really accepting of our relationship, to the confusion of my girlfriend.
She’s Asian and expected some doubts or something opposite of complete acceptance, but apparently she lucked out. Her dad has met me when I went trick or treating with her family, and her mom has seen me with her during our schools homecoming, so her family knows who I am. I had no idea that they had a nice opinion of me though, lucky me! I was worried for her, but I’m glad it went extremely well!
