Maybe because society expects nice people to say yes to everything, even things that are morally wrong.

They expect nice people to be push overs.
I personally consider it a strength though. People can be mean spirited sometimes. Kindness goes a long way
it’s not, but being “nice” and expecting something in return is not being nice.
being a good person and showing respect to others is a huge strength.
People take advantage. I wish I wasn’t nice but I can’t help it and people can spot me a mile away
Being a decent human is not considered a weakness.
Being agreeable because one is afraid of ruffling feathers, the inability to say no, lack of self respect, people pleasing and generally being a pushover is considered weak.
