What was your favourite holiday memory about your dad?

  1. My dad and I used to play this game, it was kind of like catch except it was just me throwing a ball against a wall because he wasn’t there.

  2. My parents are divorced, but one Christmas my dad visited us and went with my mom to her office Christmas party.
A group of German men took everyone at the party hostage except for my dad, who (with the moral support of Carl Winslow from The Family Matters) managed to kill all the bad guys and rescue my mom.

  3. I was big into Star Wars as a kid (still am!)

Christmas morning 1980 I woke up to find an empty action figure storage case shaped like Darth Vader, and when I went out to the tree, Santa had replaced all the ornaments with Star Wars action figures. It was so much fun discovering them all on the tree! I didn’t just get one Storm Trooper, I got a whole squad of them along with pretty much every available Empire Strikes Back figure as well as an x-wing fighter (which came with pilot Luke to go along with Cloud City Luke)

    It was awesome!

I still have the Boba Fett, Chewbacca, R2D2 and C-3PO figures all with manufacturer date stamp 1979. I don’t know what became of the others, wish I still had them for collector value

Merry Christmas everyone! Make sure you thank and appreciate the Santa in your life!
