Me and my girlfriend don’t have sexual intercourse very often due to us living with our families. However her parents are away for a bit soon and we want to make the spooning position work.
The two times we have tried it (so yeah not a lot of practice) we just can’t seem to get the angle right, and we always end up with her leaning forwards (kinda like lying down doggy style), and I really want to hold her close while we do it. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!

Lets say yall are laying down on your right sides.
Step 1: Get her left leg up into the air you hold it there by her thigh cupping it.
Step 2: insert penis into vagina. Optional if you want deeper penetration cross your left leg over her right leg.
Spark notes : unless you have a long dick about 6-7 or she has no ass a laying down doggy is the best position to fuck while spooning.
You both are on your sides, you behind her. Her butt should be a little bit higher than your hip.
For inserting there are two options. She opens her legs a bit and you can go directly in or you stick your penis between her legs and push him from her front with your hand higher and higher. When you are at her spot you pull back a bit and push him up again. He should slide in pretty easily.
No shame in asking her to help you with inserting.
When inside on of you moves. Be careful not to move to much or he might skip out.
No need to left her leg the whole time or anything like that.
This is one of the favoured positions in our marriage. It minimizes having to work against gravity or squishing your partner.
Depending on a few physiological variables, it may not be feasible to hold your partner close while thrusting in this position. Vaginas tend to be positioned toward the front of the body, and the butt increases the distance you have to ‘bridge’ if your chest is against her back. If she can really arch her back it could theoretically work, but it’s not ideal. Alternatively, if you really hunch over, you can get similar contact, but again, not ideal.
For being really close, missionary, reverse missionary, or prone bone are all better options.
