I wonder if mental health is expensive everywhere

  1. It’s free on the ennaychess, but if you were to go private, around £50-£100 per hour. Obviously, not many people go the private route.

  2. The typical rate is about $100/session but some therapists will offer a sliding scale if you’re not doing well financially. Alternatively you can work out a flat rate as well. Sometimes, your local municipality might offer subsidized services that are either affordable or free. Honestly, I think therapy is 100% worth it with the limited funds you have. Give it 6 months to a year and you’ll learn things about yourself.

  3. £100+ an hour for an actual therapist. I paid around £1000 over 3 appointments for my private ADHD assessment.

You can self refer to NHS funded counseling but thats 6 sessions, mostly CBT or similar therapy.

  4. I’ve been going to therapy for a long time. It costs around 150 CHF (USD $160) per hour. However, therapy is covered by basic health insurance, so all you need to pay is a deductible of 10%. So, per session I pay roughly 15 CHF/USD $16. I visit my therapist twice a month, so that roughly adds up to the price of a pizza.
