Should I ask her to hang out?

I’m 21(M) and I met this girl 20(F) at a cultural club at my university. She’s an international student and there is a bit of a language barrier but however we had a good time talking about a lot of stuff. I told her and her group of friends that we should hang out some time and they seemed to be down for it. Later that night she texted me on snapchat saying hi and sent me selfies of herself and what she was doing. But when I text her, her answers to my questions were always short and brief. So I’m a bit hesitant on if I should ask her to hang out or not. I don’t know if its the language barrier or if she’s interested. Anyways should I ask her to hang out and how should I go about it? Should I text her for a bit more to get to know her before I ask her to hang out?
