He’s from my college and I actually got to know him when we worked on a project together at a friends house. He flirted with me the entire time.
And from then on, we regularly send each other memes but one night he asked if we can watch anime together online. I was confused because after the “project day” I got to know he has a girlfriend and was weirded out.
He headpats me alot and compliments me.
I was initially interested in him (when I thought he was single) but when he told me he’s homophobic I backed out (I’m bisexual).
I can’t really understand what he’s doing?

He probably sees your as a potential friend
He’s sharing anime and streaming with you. It’s nothing special. Same you would do twitch, tiktok, 2nd player of games, etc with friends. You are not the focus, as he’s achieving something else (viewers etc) and just wants you to join the stream. Don’t take it too deep. If it’s a series you might take interest but it has nothing to do with the relationship as this is an interest or hobby.
