I’ve always been a very quiet person for multiple reasons, but I’ve been trying to improve for some time. There was a point where I wouldn’t even talk to people if I didn’t have to. Now I can at least try to hold a conversation if prompted and I really focus.

But I still get comments like “Wow you’re so quiet.” “Why are you so quiet?” From time to time. And I don’t blame them, but man, this is an *improvement* based on what I used to be πŸ™ƒ. Cut me some slack, please.

  1. The other day I used the word resplendent and someone asked if I got a word a day calendar for a gift or something. I replied β€œno, this is just me and how I talk.” It felt really good to not care that other people might try to pick on me for who I am. You be as quiet as you want, I stand (silently) in solidarity with you!

  2. Why are you so quiet?

    Why are you so talkative?

Who asks people stuff like that?? I’ll don’t think I’ll ever get it.

  3. Some people are quiet by default. The way I see it, it’s more important to say things well than say more.
