Has anyone tried using online video chat to help with they’re anxiety or to improve their conversational skills. Discord, Omegle?

I’ve been on Omegle and a people actually talk to you if you look “normal” and “presentable”.

People say it’s just h0rny men sharing d!ck picks and that is far from the truth.

I think it’s good exposure therapy and it’s better than sitting quietly in your room all day.

**Anyone had any experiences on Omegle?**

**Have you gained any confidence?**

  1. I used to go on Omegle. It mainly consisted of people insulting my appearance and men showing their genitals. There was some nice people on there but It’s not the most efficient form of practicing social skills

  2. It depends if you use chat or video function and what hashtags you use. I’ve had meaningful conversations and friendships on there before. I met one of my first online friends on Omegle in 2013.

I’m not good at keeping a conversation irl so it helps to find people online and especially if we have mutual things in common but Omegle is good if you use the chat function. You meet people and it’s anonymous, which means you can relax a bit more and feel less preassure.

I have had plenty of bad experiences but it’s the good ones I remember the most. Hashtags are the way!

Overall, I would say I have gotten more confidence in conversing with people but my introverted self still has a long way to go in terms of irl communication.

Don’t be afraid to try it, maybe you will enjoy it too!
