What’s your favorite comfort food ?

  1. Bread in general. Nothing better than a crusty slice of bread fresh from the oven with butter on it.

  2. Fried breakfast potatoes.

Hamburger gravy and rice, or chicken adobo on rice. Filipino adobo is the smell of my childhood.

  3. My son recently recovered from strep and I just finished downing one of the remaining cartons of lemon Italian ice. The same brand my mom would get me when I was sick. I have to say, that was pretty damn comforting.

Probably any kind of stew or hearty soup, like chili or wild rice.

  4. Chicken and sausage gumbo with a heavy dark roux, smoked sausage, tasso, with a lot of garlic and onions, some celery and bell peppers

Especially the next day. Mais regardez donc. Je n’y crois pas moi-meme

  5. Waffle House. I never thought about Waffle House as a place you want to go, it’s more of a place you end up. Then I moved to a state with 0 Waffle Houses and I missed it terribly. Legal weed is great but it’d be cooler if I could get an All Star Special from an equally high waitress at my Waffle Home.

  6. A huge breakfast of chicken fried steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, and diner coffee.

  7. In no particular order:

    Ribeye steak
Philly cheesesteak sandwich (with Cheese Whiz…which is the CORRECT way)
    Pepperoni and italian sausage pizza
    Street tacos
    Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
    Anything from Chic-Fil-A

  8. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, a glass of cold milk in a frosted glass and a biscuit with grape jelly. If I were on death row, that’d be my final meal I suspect

  9. It’s a tie: beans with either rice or corn tortillas, or a baked potato with butter and salt.
