What are some things people have done or given you than made you feel appreciated and special?

1. A hug.

2. People tell me all the time that I’m a good guy and that they enjoy when I am around. Means a lot to hear that cause there was a time where I was at my absolute lowest and I felt the complete opposite. Also I feel appreciated when people go out of their way to do stuff for me before I even knew that I had something to do, it’s rare but when it happens it’s nice

3. Flowers.

   Yes, I’m a guy. I’ve purchased flowers for my mother, sister, wife, and girlfriends in the past.

   When somebody bought me flowers, it was one of the most wholesome gifts I’ve ever received.

4. The day before my birthday the radio station I listen to was doing a meetup nog too far from me. I went to it with a friend from the radio station’s Facebook group and when I showed up the host was on air and she handed my friend a card.

   After she was done she went right up to me and hugged me. She said happy birthday to me and handed me a gift bag with a bottle of Malört and then handed me the birthday card with everyone’s names signed. Then they all sang happy birthday to me and I was completely speechless. I’ll never forget that.
