Woodworking, lots of
Plan for retirement.
My dad’s mentally ill so nothing
How to budget. Last January he told me his financial plan for 2022 and that he’ll be $63 over-budget for the year
Being several years past my 20’s I still don’t know how he calculates this
I think a lot of that comes down to their expertise. If you can get a little “inside knowledge” in some areas that they are especially keen to, that helps a lot. I know I (late 30’s) am able to give my father a fair bit of information on things as well.
Show me the math of a small investment of $100 per month over my lifetime and how to automate savings.
The further away from him I was when I was in my 20s the better for everyone. There’s not a single thing that man could ever teach me
I could teach him a thing or two, like stop beating your wife, buy the fucking leasehold and do some renovating before the house falls down around your ears, you get dementia and I have to fucking deal with it.
How to dodge child support for 20 years. I have no clue what else he could teach me that google couldnt.
This is a question for your father. If he’s as knowledgeable as you say and you are willing to commit to learning what he finds important, I’m sure he’ll make the right choice what knowledge to pass on you.
Edit: my father taught me how to weld, so if my IT career ever go downhill I have a backup knowledge.
A better question to ask is what _*can*_ he teach you? Then decide if you’d like him to convey that knowledge to you.
Idk maybe some dating advice, I’d mainly tell him to see adoctor, so he’d still be around now.
