As a tourist in London I’m getting to dangerous levels of frustration

  1. If your usung a mobile the cell carrier may have a block on adult sites, in general very little is blocked on broadband or cell. Give the carrier a call and they will lift the block

  2. Porn is not blocked in the UK.

Are you on hotel wifi or using a mobile network? Some mobile networks block porn, but you can ask them to unblock it. I don’t know how that would work if you’re roaming.

  3. Assuming you’re on mobile (being a tourist) so it’s probably your network not your browser. Some of them now block adult sites by default. If you know your network (eg EE, Vodafone, O2, Three, or other like Voxi) and google “<network> content block” or “<network> parental controls” you’ll find out how to unblock it.

  4. Could be either the hotel wifi (if you’re using that) or the mobile network. Both can block at source.

  5. You’ve got the adult block on, mate. You can get to Reddit and there’s a lot of porn subreddits so that’s your way forward unless you want to contact your internet provider with proof of age – passport or driving licence.

  6. Are you using the WiFi in the hotel? They’ve probably blocked it. If I recall correctly, WiFi blocks porn automatically nowadays, you have to contact your provider to actively unblock it. But as a guest using WiFi you can’t do that.

  7. Call hotel reception and explain to them the wifi must be broken as analgrannies.com is not working.

  8. If you have unrestricted access to Reddit, you have unrestricted access to as much porn as you can handle

  9. London is still analogue.

Pop to the newsagent and get yourself some magazines.

It’s like pay-per-view, but you get to keep access forever*.

(*until the pages get stuck together)

  10. Same happened to me when I was in hospital for 5 days and tried to have a wank in the toilet. Fortunately Reddit still worked. You’d be amazed at just how much porn there is on Reddit. You only seem to see it if you go looking for it.

  11. I was at a hotel in France once for about a week and *I was told by another guest* that there was a block screen informing you that it was not allowed at the hotel. It was very frustrating *for him* until *he* remembered that VPN subscription *he* hadn’t yet cancelled.
