I (21M) broke up with me ex (19F) on good terms back in October. We’ve been dating for around 4-5 months and decided its best to be friends.

I understand that people can find it difficult to remain friends with an ex because of the awkwardness that comes from all the intimacy that the couple may once have had. But we haven’t had that problem yet.

I’ve personally moved on and I think she has too cos for the last 2 months we’ve been texting less frequently (now every few days) than when we were dating (calling and texting everyday). So I can almost safely say that we are just friends now.

However, last night she sent me a random tiktok video that i did not understand the context of.

[https://www.tiktok.com/@tr3stansan/video/7085562614679424299?is\_from\_webapp=1&sender\_device=pc&web\_id=7142182463086478849](https://www.tiktok.com/@tr3stansan/video/7085562614679424299?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7142182463086478849)

But then i thought maybe its not the video but rather the music (tek it – cafune) that was being conveyed?

And after looking into some lyric interpretations on this site, [https://www.lyricinterpretations.com/cafune/tek-it](https://www.lyricinterpretations.com/cafune/tek-it), i am confused if she is suggesting anything about missing the relationship?

I understand that reddit won’t be able to fully know what she might say and that it should be a communication between us where i should just ask. But im not too sure on how i should phrase it so that I dont make it seem like i’m assuming? Is there an indirect way to reply to test the waters on her reply so i have confirmation that my assumption is right?

Any advice is much appreciated 🙂

  1. Maybe offer to get back together and see if she goes for that, in which case you will have your answer, but you will be back together with her, not sure if that is what you want.
