What was the other person’s reasoning? Were there signs you missed?

  1. My last relationship before I met my wife, we dated for 6 years with majority of it being long distance since she was finishing optometry school.

The week she was coming back, she Skyped me and said, “I’m just not sure right now about things and us.” I told her that we needed to have this chat in person when she got back home.

We broke up a day after our 6th anniversary. I came to find out months later that she had been cheating on me for at least a year with a neighbour that had been hitting on her throughout her time there.

Her cousin was the one who told me about things and basically said she was a little too scared to tell me straight what was up. There were some signs in the last two years of our relationship that we were fading, she wasn’t as enthusiastic and the neighbour started being around more. I didn’t think he was a threat or anything.

  2. I will let you know once I am coherent enough to process it. My mind is currently out to lunch.
