I (19m) never really dated much in highschool and just started going on dates recently so I’m super inexperienced and pretty akward overall. For backstory, I recently came to South Korea for a semester abroad and a local church was doing an international outreach thing so I decided to go to meet new people. She is a member there and when I said I liked to run but haven’t found a good spot for it, she asked if I wanted to go on a run sometime. I got to know the other foreigners there and I’m the only one she asked to hang out with. We text after and she says we should also grab lunch after. So yesterday I go on the run and then to lunch and everything feels like its going good, conversation wise and what not, and we decide to go rock climbing together next week, and she also invites me to go hiking (in a group) next weekend, and she also mentions trying to go to the aquarium together and do some shopping that same weekend. After texting about when rock climbing would be she says we should grab dinner after. I feel like these are good signs but I still can’t tell if this is a friendship thing or if she’s interested. After the run she said “lets run often (:” and she also said “lets do lot more fun thing together before you go (:” I’m very passive/shy and didn’t make a move on the first run we went on. I know the answer is most likely that I just have to make my move and see what happens but I’m still just nervous and I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding things because of some of the cultural differences (shes Korean and I’m not). Also a small holdup is another person from the church texts me very often trying to get me to attend every event they have so at first I felt like she may be trying to be nice to me for that, but she hasn’t mentioned the church at all, and again I was the only foreigner she hung out with. I guess I’m wondering are these good signs or is this a friendship kind of thing? And any tips on how to make a move without making the friendship weird if it is just a friends thing? Im just really stupid when it comes to this stuff lol.
