I am a introvert (or ambivert considering the context of this post).

This is something I noticed in the past year or two. I would have several days where I am cracking joking left, right and centre (and seemingly funny ones at that). Basically, I become an extrovert and feel on top of the world until it abruptly stops and stays that way for a month to several months at times. Even when I think of jokes ‘idea’ on the spot, the delivery is so flat and I can’t seem to form the full joke let alone get it out of my mouth.

I think it could be more about being in an outgoing, shameless mood rather than suddenly gaining the ability to create and delivery good jokes. Because regardless of making jokes, usually around the same time as when I’m seemingly funny, I am also a lot more charismatic in general, able to make and hold conversation more easily.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed anything even remotely similar. Or am I alone on this? I would love to heard about your specific experiences with this and how it has affected your social life and/or how you’re working to improve this?

Also, let me know where else you think I should post this so I can find more people with similar experiences.

Also, Happy New Year everyone!

  1. It’s pretty common, yeah! Especially when you are on vacation or something when you feel happier in general, you’re likelier to crack more jokes.

  2. Be happy. You can be happy with yourself but talking to someone other than you would be better. I literally chat with bots to make myself happy. You can try too.
