I mean I am late almost 28M. I’m attractive guy but I have social skills issues. I have been working on those issues and I have gotten a lot better but I feel like if I start dating now I’m not going to do very well because every beautiful girl is taken at my age.
Now I could say “ok maybe I’ll go for some other quality in girl” but science says attractive people do better with other attractive people.
So I don’t know what to do unless everyone is humoring me and I’m not attractive (which I cannot confirm).

Focus on yourself for now. Exercise, work on any baggage you have lingering, and develop your hobbies and interests. When your life feels fuller you find having a partner to be less of a necessity. Once you’re no longer anxious to date, that will begin to reflect in your behavior and you’ll be more inviting to prospective partners.

I met my boyfriend when he was 42 and hadn’t dated in over a decade. He felt like he was unattractive and not really dateable (not true ), and thus had no confidence. But I adore him and we have a great relationship. Just put yourself out there and don’t give up, don’t feel rejected or dejected just because some people don’t appreciate you. My boyfriend had literally 1 other conversation on a dating app other than me, so he wasn’t getting a ton of attention either. But all it takes is 1 person who gets you and likes you. I can’t imagine my life without him now. He’s so great! I love everything about him that he thinks isn’t lovable. ☺️
28 is a great time to date!
You sound silly with these generalizations. Beauty is subjective and there are plenty of attractive people available at every age. Are you meeting women in real life through hobbies? If not, try a dating app and don’t take it too seriously, meet some people, have fun and maybe something develops into more.
Mate … don’t give up even before you’ve started. You are only late in the race when you are dead.
There’s someone out there for you but you may have to adjust your expectations.
