why did he dump me like that?
i (20f) just got dumped by the guy (25m) i’ve been dating for four months. i know it’s not that long so it’s not a huge deal, but i’m just so confused by the way he did it.
things have been totally fine and he wasn’t acting differently AT ALL, just came over and we talked and cuddled in bed watching a show, he told me he had missed me, i got up to pee and came back and he dumped me then left. like why would someone bother doing all that? why not just do it as soon as he came over, i was so happy and then that just happened. man.
if anyone can decipher that please let me know. also general breakup tips would be great cause i have not been dumped in years and i don’t really know how to deal with this. thanks
tl;dr: guy i’ve been seeing came over and was being super sweet then dumped me out of nowhere.

I don’t think it’s going to do you any good trying to figure out why he behaved that way. I agree that it’s pretty odd, though. Indeed, I think the most polite thing to do would be to just have a straightforward conversation about it right away.
My advice is just to let it go. Just take it as a situation where some guy you were dating rudely led you on before dumping you. There’s probably not a deeper meaning to it.
I’d count that as a bullet dodged, because it makes no sense and I can’t imagine any reasonable person doing it.
was you seeing someone else and left your phone close to him?
maybe he saw something snooping on your phone that led him to think you was cheating and dump you
