So today was gonna be my first therapy session. I was all ready and even posted here to tell you all about it since you have been helpful. I realized I booked an appointment with a psychiatrist ( one who treats with medicines) instead of a psychologist (one who treats with counseling). Its not that I don’t believe in medicines but just that I don’t have enough money yet to supplement my therapy with medicines.

I cancelled the appointment and started looking for a psychologist but all of them are women. I previously booked an appointment with a male young therapist thinking he could understand my problems but turns out he is a psychiatrist.

So how to feel comfortable talking to female psychologists about issues like compulsive masturbation and lustful thoughts? Has someone done this before?

  1. Put a bit of time into looking for a counsellor who you feel comfortable with. I am confident that you will be able to find a bloke who can help you.

And don’t give your self a hard time about your mistake. It is confusing and an easy one to make.
