My partner’s mother (whom they had a very close relationship to) passed away very recently and we planned to have a micro/court wedding in March. My partner is not well, he is so heart broken and says he is fine with the court proceeding but wants remove/cancel the photos and a mini celebration we planned to have after the court date (which low key really disappoints me).

Should I just push the entire thing? Or just cut out the photos / small celebration like he mentioned bc he doesn’t feel he’d be in the spirit to entertain and take photos?

  1. Go on with the wedding reception and take pictures of the two of you …best of luck

  2. I wouldn’t push anything tbh. If it’s just photos and a mini-celebration, and you can afford to risk losing the deposits, just hold the reservations. There’s still three months between now and then. There’s a good chance he recovers to the point he’s ready to smile by March. Sorry for both your losses.
