“Do not commit to anyone.”

Wasn’t sure where else to ask this.

  1. No.
90% of the book is jargon constructed in a way to appeal to people who aren’t social or socially domineering. You must remember, books are still products sold to demographics. And it’s essentially the ‘sigma’ book of it’s time.

Etiquette books teach you how to interact. That book was made with the intentions of ‘dominating’ or literally in the title, having power over people. Not ethical or true interaction.

  2. Have you heard about consequentialism?

It states that the morality (in this case, ethicality) of an action is to be judged solely by its consequences.

  3. it can be used very maliciously and some practices if taken to the far extreme with bad intent are actually forms of illegal behaviour such as control and manipulation. The book is even banned in some jails however it’s made me realise traits in people to protect myself so for me it’s a positive for me

  4. Robert Green is a horrible author, I think he picked it up in his 40s. As someone else mentioned 90% is borderline nonsensical, however, the remainingn10% is really good.
