my boyfriend and i were fwb for a long time and recently became official 3 months ago. Yesterday i saw that he had a Tinder notification but I couldn’t see what it was because his phone was locked. I told him what I saw, and he said he would delete it right now. I’m his first girlfriend in a while and he says he forgot he had the app.
I told him I believed him but I don’t know if I do now. Why would he make things official with me if he wants to hook up with other people? Do people actually forget that they have Tinder downloaded? This is my first relationship and I don’t know what to do. Should I talk to him about it again when I see him again?

If he was receiving notifications, he did not forget that he had the app. Was he actually talking to people? That’s something you need to ask him.

He’s not being honest. It seems like you want to believe him so you’re trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. He is not as generous or respectful to you, He left tinder on his phone for a reason, and would not have told you if you didn’t see it. You need to figure out if that’s ok with you or not, and let him know what you decide. You can decide it’s a dealbreaker, if you think that’s best. I think it’s gross and greedy to be seeking multiple women in secret when you’re partnered, but only you know your heart
