Instead of telling him verbally what positions you want him in, you can just grab him and put him in those positions. Don’t be afraid to push him down on the bed. Hand on the chest just below the throat is a good one, just don’t actually choke him without discussing it beforehand.
Dirty talk is also extremely effective. The phrase “good boy” is extremely powerful in the right context.
Also depending on what kind of foreplay you do together, you could always tie his hands up when you’re doing that.
