I broke up with my ex. It’s been a some time now, but idk why I feel like I’m gonna be rejected if a girl finds out that I don’t have a license (I’m 25), although I’m about to get my license. I didn’t had this feeling during college.

  1. I’d say not having a license is a bigger deal than not having a car. The guy I’m seeing now doesn’t have a car because he doesn’t really need one to get around where he lives. However, he does have a license. While I do most of the driving, it gives me peace of mind that if I were sick or injured and couldn’t drive, he’d be able to drive me in an emergency.

  2. Depends on where you live. I live in the rural northern US midwest where scheduling your road test for your license the day after your 16th birthday is a rite of passage. I think it’s weird to hear of 17 and 18 year olds without their license. I’m sure legit reasons however as a parent it wound be a red flag as to why an older teen doesn’t have their license.

  3. You shouldn’t worry too much about this. if you can easily get around without it, there shouldn’t be any issues. People go through lots of different phases in their lives. If a girl is going to reject you for something like this, you dodged a bullet.

  4. It does matter because she will have to take you everywhere when she most likely wants to be taken somewhere by you
