That is going to vary from person to person. There are some people that have a hard time receiving, feel awkward trying to focus on their own pleasure, find it hard to enjoy themselves if they think their partner isn’t, etc. That doesn’t mean you are bad, it just means that he may be in his own head, which makes it more difficult for him to enjoy. I am that kind of a guy, and it can take me forever, which further gets in my head. I have figured out ways around it, but it takes a little bit.
To more directly answer your question, the real killer in any BJ is going to be teeth. If you think that may be it and are having a hard time with it, focus less on trying to go deep with it, and more on hands, licking, just going down a little ways, etc.
