i asked for their insta yesterday, we followed each other then today they unfollowed me. follower to following ratio is pretty bad. not really asking for advice, but has anyone experienced this (or something similar) and/or does anyone know why? all i can figure is that they dont know me that well lol

If the person unfollowed you, it means they aren’t interested in you. It’s that simple. He probably only followed originally because he didn’t want to be rude then unfollowed because he didn’t think you would check or notice.
Check if he’s cancelled the date and ghosted you already. Save you the gas money to go out.
