I was fwb with one of my friends up until October when he met someone he was interested in and I moved away. We stopped seeing each other but we stayed in touch. I thought he’d tell me if things were getting serious with this girl and that he’d distance himself from me once they did but instead he started getting flirty with me again in November up until recently. By “getting flirty” I mean asking sexual questions or sending dirty memes. So I assumed that things with her just didn’t work out which is why I went along with it and flirted back.
A few days ago I found out that he’s in a relationship with this girl and has been for two months, so I distanced myself from him and told him we should stop talking.
I don’t know how to feel rn. Is it normal to talk about sex and sharing memes with sexual innuendos with someone other than your partner when you’re in a relationship?

No it’s not, I mean maybe with close friends but not someone you were just sleeping with right before your new relationship started. It’s also offensive to the person he is with right now. He is trying to keep his options open in case whatever he has doesn’t work out.
