I’ve been getting advice from my friend and parents to take it slow. Advice on Reddit says I should ask girls quickly and be straightforward. I’m so conflicted. I haven’t dated at all but I have a girl from work that I hanged out a lot and we have a potential to date. However she not ready yet. She still figuring things out.

Is this what she told you when you asked her out?
I personally say sooner is better than later. And did you clarify with each person you asked what “taking things slow” means? Because it’s different for different people.
