Hi, I’m a female and I just blocked someone on all social platforms because he got too clingy and said something that kind of scared me, but now i feel kind of bad.
It was this guy that I met on a dating app and talked to, on and off and once in a while every few weeks, for about a period of 6 months. We never dated but I kind of liked to talk so sometimes we would strike up a conversation.
Every time we talked, he just became over committed to complimenting me. And he kind of started saying strange stuff like ‘call me daddy’ and ‘good you’re not that strong so I can punish you’. That last remark kind of ticked me off so I blocked him on all my socials. But now he’s asking for an explanation and I kind of feel pathetic for getting scared. I definitely know I’m in the wrong but I would just like some advice on how to handle such things in the future.

  1. I think you did the right thing blocking him, ‘call me daddy’ and ‘good you’re not that strong so I can punish you’ are creepy as hell and scary. Maybe he just wanted to be playful but this is almost threatening. You’re not in the wrong, these men don’t deserve attention.

  2. You are not in the wrong even in the slightest, making remarks like that unprovoked without discussing any boundaries is creepy as hell. If he wants an explanation, you are free to not give it or own up to it and tell him that you will not tolerate him making you uncomfortable.

  3. Block. Block, block, block. He is trying to force you into satisfying his kinks without your consent. He doesn’t deserve your continued attentions.
