I’ve read a number of times that volunteering at some place can be a good way to meet other people to date but I’m not sure where would be a good place to volunteer. As a teenager I had to volunteer at places like homeless shelters for school but there it was mostly other kids and old women. Where might be a good place to volunteer if you’re looking for younger single people? For those that found a partner while volunteering, where did you go?

I mean, what social cause is important to you?
People recommend volunteering as a way of meeting people because it will give you an opportunity to bond over a common cause. It’s less that there is a specific area of volunteering that will lead to a meet cute and more that you’ll meet a variety of people with something you’ll immediately share a passion with.
Anywhere, even those shelters, but don’t do it with the intention of dating/using the environment as your dating ground. Your lack of sincere interest in volunteer the work will definitely come through and turn people off.
