I have an opinion of course, but don’t want to influence others who may respond 😊

20 miles from Seattle. Friends say we all just middle class, but I feel our families are fairly…

Off the top of my head as an outsider I would say: Dolly Parton, Betty White and Henry…

My phone
A big puffy winter coat. It’s so nice to go outside in winter and not feel the cold.
Sonos speaker
Nice radar detector. I drive a lot and it has saved me on more than one occasion.
My bicycle. Have had it for ten years. Has been great for general exercise and riding around with friends.
My house
A quality hiking backpack.
My mattress. Queen size, pillow top mattress. Anyone whose laid in my bed has not stayed awake longer than 30 minutes. It’s truly the best thing ever. And I didn’t even pay full price for it, there was a guessing game at the place and I won 60% off for the mattress!
Pants
A watch
Bitcoin when it was like $110
My backup home generator. With gas prices now I probably won’t be able to afford to run it though 🙁
My VW GTIs
God i loved those cars.
A divorce
When I graduated from college I bought a new Honda Civic. Up until that point I had driven relatives’ old cars. The ease of mind from driving a new car is not readily quantifiable.
A new mattress. It’s done wonders to improve my sleeping.
A bottle sterilizer for my infants bottles and other things. Total game changer cause to hell with boiling bottles and stuff.
My dog, best purchase ever.
My bidet.
An ambulance ride after i was hit by an ice cream truck
1 gun. Just 1. I only own 1.
A really good bed
Roomba. It’s not perfect but i appreciate its effort.
A pickup truck. Even now with gas prices so high, having a pickup has been worth every penny.
My house and solar panels.
My bicycle. It’s pretty sweet.
Also, my tiny lathe. I was worried that it was a stupid purchase. It was not.
A House, Motorcycles, Vacations
Dogecoin. Bought it as a joke and that was the best joke I ever made
My car
My 2006 Toyota Matrix. We needed a car for dogs. We looked at the Honda Element, the Pontiac Vibe, but we went with the Matrix. It was a year old and was being used as a shuttle car for the dealership so it had higher mileage than a normal 1 year old car so we were able to negotiate the price down. It’s a perfect dog car. It has 183,000 miles on it now and I use it to drive to work. The only thing I’ve had to replace is an alternator.
I have an Toyota Camry 1999. One of the best purchases I made was buying one of those bluetooth fm transmitters. So basically I can play my own music through my car’s speakers instead of being forced to listen to the radio.
A meat grinder
A bidet attachement
My consoles
My car
Most of what i buy i dont regret
Road bike. I use it a lot
Apple Watch
Zero turn mower. Went from 3.5-4 hours of mowing to 2-ish. Absolute life changer.
Adopting our cat was the best financial decision ever. A small fee from the Humane Society, and she makes every day better.
Glock 19. Never had to use it but it’s fun at the range lol
Black & Decker one-button rice cooker. Bought it 15 years ago on clearance for 20 bucks. I expect at least another 15 years out of it.
Simple but fascinating technology. Never fails. I wish everything worked this well.
My sewing machine. I wasn’t sure that I liked sewing enough to take it up as a hobby. I wouldn’t say I have a lot of fun doing it but the ability to tailor clothes, mend clothes, and make custom clothes for my body has been a game changer. I look better, I pull on my clothes less, and if I see a cool outfit, I can make it myself.
Golf clubs. The sport has changed my life.
My house back in 1994.
Lots of guns back in the mid 90s, when the Berlin Wall came down and all the military surplus guns came flooding into American gun shows for cheap. Many of those 75 and 00 dollar guns fetch 600 dollars or more today.
Land and guns increase in value over time…other things….not so much. LOL
My house. I bought during the last recession when so I got a great deal on it.
