I’m currently on Day 5 of my 7-day treatment with doxycycline while my partner had the single dose 1g azithromycin. We both started our treatment on the same day.
I know the doctors suggest to wait 7 days after treatment before having any sexual contact.
However both me(F) and my partner(M) had a moment of weakness and had penetrative sex using a condom while on my Day 5/7. We both made sure we were careful with handling & we washed our hands before and after.
My concern and anxiety is, what are the likelihood we may have reinfected the other?
We both have to go back for a retest anyway 3-4weeks from now but I’d really appreciate some insight/advice or some validation from someone that might of experienced something similar.

Why can’t people just listen to the doctor… It’s not like you are so weak that you can’t hold it in your pants for a week 🙄
These are the times to explore that “a visit to the kinky doctor” fantasy. Bust out the nitrile gloves and indulge some quality hand play.
Telling people to just abstain doesn’t actually address libidos that don’t necessarily cooperate with a treatment plan.
