I don’t know where exactly to post this at. But I’m 24, so an adult. But due to my situation I don’t *want* my parents knowing I’m on BC. I’m on their insurance too. So is there any way I could get on it without them actually knowing

  1. If you’re over the age of 18 (and living in the USA), your parents should have no access to your medical records unless you give it to them. It should be commonplace for a woman to see a gynecologist regularly, so that should not raise any suspicions if you make a Dr. Appointment. If the OB/GYN gives you a written prescription for the BC pills, you can take it to any pharmacy and pay cash for the medicine. If you’re good at keeping things from your parents, you should have no problems keeping this from them.

  2. Typically the local health clinic will get you pills, or even better, the multi year shot.

  3. Yes. They will not be notified when you get it. That’s between you and your doctor. Only way they’ll know is if you leave it out for them to find or have it delivered in the mail

  4. Best thing to do is get a coil they last for 5-10 years depending on what one so won’t be suspicious of they see it. You can go to a sexual health clinic in your area to buy one
