I’m getting to my wit’s end trying to find a job I can manage. My mental health isn’t always great but I am a kind hard worker and want to work preferably part time in some way that helps the environment. Does anyone know where I should start? I’m in my late 20s and have a useless degree.

  1. National Trust Ranger.

Working outside, getting your hands dirty, and they’ll put you through the Qualifications needed. Or at least, so their website says. Start as an apprentice, and work up.

No idea what the money is like mind you.

  2. Was going to say its not work but you should look into therapy gardens.. basically small green spaces which people can potter about in/get their hands dirty and meet others

  3. Local garden centre? A family owned one might be swayed by your passion if you apply in person

    Council parks dept

  4. Check the Civil Service jobs website, they have a lot of environmental departments and are often hiring for entry level roles.
