Acrylics? Press ons? DIY manicures? Not a damn thing? What’s your nail situation?

  1. I just paint them. I don’t really care about my nails as long as they colour match with my makeup/outfit, they’re not a noticeable part of me or my looks.

  2. I get manicures every 2 – 3 weeks. I alternate between full manicures and polish changes where they file and shape the nails and change the polish but don’t do the cuticles, etc. I’ve also gone long periods of time without getting my nails done but I like having painted nails and I can’t paint them without it looking like a 5 year old did it 😅 when I’m not getting them done, though, I just keep them trimmed, tidy, and bare.

  3. I clip and file them when they get too long. I don’t think I’ve painted them since I was a teenager. That’s really all.

  4. I occasionally get acrylics when I want something extra nice. But other than that I like to keep them bare, trimmed, and filed down/shaped nicely. It makes no sense to me but nail polish on my real nails just isn’t cute anymore lol. So unless it’s a nice design on some coffin acrylics, then it’s not worth it for me.

  5. Keep them all trimmed short and usually do my own polish. For special events I’ll do acrylics or get a gel manicure, but that’s like 3 or 4 times a year maybe.

I play guitar and have a lot of lesbian sex, the practicality of short nails kinda trumps style fore XD

  6. I do mine at home, I find it relaxing.

I file/cut about once a week, and usually apply polish in pink/red tones. Right now they’re sparkly red. I have long and narrow nail beds, so they look long even when cut as short as possible. I usually keep them a couple milimeters long, squoval shaped.

  7. I like to keep my nails long they look nice, sometimes with color other times plain, depends on how I’m feeling. I do gels occasionally but I like my natural nails more. They’re more functional I guess

  8. Nothing. I try to let them grow out but they break every time. Once they start breaking, I trim them.

  9. Trim/file them when they start getting too long. Paint them with nude polish every couple of weeks, or sparkly nude glitter for special occasions.

  10. Most of the time I clip and file them. Once every 2-3 years I grow them out paint them.
As a teenager I had them long and painted them weekly. It’s too much hassle. And there’s ain’t no way I would ever get anything more than painted nails.

  11. Once a week, I clean, file, and re-paint them with any of my ridiculous collection of nail polish.

The last couple of weeks, though, I’ve been trying to deal with this long-standing split at the tip of my thumbnail. It’s actually been there for years because the nail just keeps splitting as it grows. I’m experimenting with covering it with press-on acrylics for a few weeks to see if that helps keep the split together until (fingers crossed), I can trim/file the split away and hopefully have a whole nail.

So for the next month or so, I’ll be soaking off my set of press-ons and doing some attempt at nail art on a set of blank press-ons that I bought online.

  12. I get a full set of acrylics every two weeks. It’s pricey but I’ve always liked long elegant nails

  13. I will trim them if they get too long but generally I leave all that to the experts. I’m not good at doing my own nails and I enjoy my salon time as a treat.

  14. Everything! Having pretty natural nails makes me very happy. I do them myself, the whole thing… nice manicure and pedicure with a pretty color a couple times a week.

  15. I just got them done today. Square shaped acrylics, on the shorter side. They’re light pink.
