I’m an introvert and most of the friends I have is through work/classroom. I intend to go to a 2 days 500-1000 people anime festival near me to make friends.
Should I try to interact with as many people as possible and then reach out to them after the festival or should I stop when finding a group/friends that seems to match and join them throughout the event?

  1. Depends what you want. How easily do you get lonely? Most people want to stick with a group if they find one, as opposed to the emotional effort/loneliness of constantly finding cool people and leaving them.

You may feel most comfortable if you find a “homebase” group that likes you, and then you can more freely chat with new people, because there’s always people you know to hang out with.

Another option is to setup plans to meet them again later at the festival. It both gives you time to do your thing, but they may also be more receptive to you outside the festival now that they’ve sorta “seen you twice”.
