It is realy uncommon. Often girls are socialy a bit further in development. But if you like each other so what. I mean the logical conclusion would be dating someone you dont like because people say stuff. I mean the gap is clearly there sure but that is something that deepends so much on the specific person so its not as easy to say. 90% of cases ore more sure.. But if its in your situation like that why not
yeah, she’s weird all right
it’s not just 17 and 15, it’s that boys are a couple of years less mature emotionally than girls at that age, so, a four year age gap (like, 17 & 13, or 19 & 15)
Personally I don’t think it matters too much, 2 years isn’t that big of a gap and when you both grow older it’ll matter even less
Eh it’s not common, but plenty of healthy relationships are uncommon combos.
You don’t need to get a vote on whether or not you should date her from Reddit or your friends. You need to be aware of how an age gap can impact a relationship and make sure you are cognizant of those issues. Is she controlling? Is she trying to shape how you think? Do you feel like equals?
It’s unusual in teenage years for a girl to go with a guy 2 years younger but not unheard of. 2 years is a perfectly acceptable age gap and if you are both into each other then go for it.
My first serious girlfriend was 17 and I was 16. We were together for a year.
