We’ve been on 4 amazing dates (hiking, going to the park, grabbing brunch, playing pool, grocery shopping and cooking, watching Netflix) but so far ZERO physical intimacy. Not even holding hands. It really is like we are just friends.
I really like him (and I think he likes me too because he’s spent all his free days with me since we matched on OLD) so far but I’m a bit confused by this platonic approach.
Does he not find me physically attractive? Is he hiding some problems he has with intimacy?
Or, is he building a solid foundation before rushing into intimacy?

Question. Would you continue to date someone who has erectile dysfunction, or if he was so large that sex was painful every time? Or he was a lazy lover who doesn’t do any foreplay? Sexual compatibility is important. Otherwise, just stay platonic friends.
I believe he’s giving you the reins to set the speed, and doesn’t want to push you to do anything your uncomfortable with. At this point you’ve already gone on 4 dates you’re already at/past the friends stage.
if he’s settled on being friends then why not. if it’s bothering you talk to the guy.
As a woman – I used to prefer this approach and for me it was about making sure I’m comfortable with the person before even thinking about being physically intimate. He might have similar motivations, but honestly – just talk to him.
It could’ve just been a while for him…a lot of guys in that position coming out of the pandemic.
