I’m in university and I have a hard time connecting with people and talking to them. My biggest problem is gathering the courage to go up to people I already know and saying “hello” to them. I see seniors whom I really want to connect with on campus and even though I really want to greet them and make small talk I just never end up doing it. That is because I convince myself that they probably don’t remember me or they are with a friend so I shouldn’t bother them. How do I overcome this?

  1. “HEY, how’s it GOING?” make eye contact, smile.

If they just smile at you (or ignore you) keep going. If they ask you a question back then you can stay and talk.
