What ways, big or small, do you celebrate yourself?

  1. I celebrate myself by practicing self care! Nothing is better than putting on some candles, painting my nails and listening to my favorite music/ podcast

  2. I have this journal where every now and then I write down the fun things I got to do/happened to me, my fav things/things that brought me a lot of excitement, and also my effort list (win list where even though I didn’t achieve the whole task but I still put some effort in that I feel I need to count)

Also, I booked a few things (Recently, I booked bouldering class for March but just knowing it’s makes makes me feel excited whenever I think of it.

  3. I achieve that through taking care of myself by:
Having a positive, healthy relationship with myself. Respecting, loving, and being kind to myself. Going easy on myself and giving myself a break when I can and should. Gifting myself things regularly. Validating myself regularly. Being responsible for my well-being on all levels (physical, mental, emotional, financial, social, spiritual…everything) everyday. Taking care of my inward AND outward apprearances. Valuing my time, energy, priorities, likes, dislikes. Staying away from negative, useless, toxic environment and people, and idle talk. Being highly selective about social interactions and personal relationships (you will never see me hanging out with just anyone wherever whenever). Practicing self awareness, positive, healthy and a “growth” mindset. Listing short and long-term goals and action plans, and following through. Writing things down. Taking time for myself every morning before work and every evening. Making time for interests and activities I enjoy. Saying “no”, and setting boundaries.

I do these everyday/regularly. VERY consistently. I have a lot of respect, care, and love for myself, not just for other people.

  4. I treat myself everyday with quiet time. Meaning no kids, just relaxation. I get one hour to do whatever I want.

  5. I cook my favorite food. I take my time, try not to stress about it. At the end of it I have my favorite meal.
