I ended up calling a friend that was busy and said they would call me back later. How long would you wait to just call them again? I need to ask them something but it is kind of hard to explain over text so a phone call is going to be more easier, but I don’t want to spam their phone too much. The big thing is I would like a response today if possible. Thanks!

Two options. Text them briefly explaining what you need help with, mention that it’s needed that same day, and ask them to call you if they can. Or. Wait a few hours and call again.
Either way, make a plan for in case you can’t reach them at all that day.
