So in my country I can buy many things with 50 cents and under (makeup useful stuff for home food ….) And I saw in tik tok many people buying stuff but I see that it’s so expensive comparing to my country. But don’t get me wrong I live in a third world country so I think that’s why.

  1. Yes, I lived in a ‘third world country’ for a while. Salaries were much lower, but costs were likewise much lower than I was used to. Since I was living on an American salary, I was ‘rich’ for that country.

So from your perspective, things here are much more expensive, sometimes absurdly more expensive. They aren’t to us because our salaries are much higher as well.

As to your specific question, for 50 cents I could buy a small piece of fruit, some candy, etc. It’s not much money here but it’s money.

  2. Pressed pennny souvenirs, but you have to provide the penny.

I have seen machines that charge 75 cents or a dollar.

  3. I was curious so I looked on my latest grocery order. I got some garlic that were born 59 cents and my sweet yellow onion was 75 cents. So I guess if you found a really small onion. And I think one ramen might be around 50 cents.
