I have a coworker that is always serious with me even if I try to joke around with him but when he talks to other people who are below us (we’re leads) he jokes around with them and stuff why does he only treat me this way? Especially since other people in our team (leads) can also joke around with him? What should I do to improve the situation?

That person may not like your jokes? Why would you keep trying? Be as serious as they are, since it’s a work environment you should keep it that way.
