I (33m) am physically disabled as the result of surviving a brain tumor when I was born ( my left arm is all but nonfunctional ). I’m finally giving online dating a real a real shot. I’m not sure when and how to bring it up? It’s not something that ever comes up in “natural”conversation. sometimes women will look through my photos and ask but most won’t. Also I’d love women’s opinion on dating a disabled guy because well, it seems relevant.

  1. Is it just your arm that is affected? Just bring it up as a tidbit while you are talking about who you are, and be positive about it. That way they will be more likely to see it positively, too. Ie: “I have a disability, so sometimes I have to do things a little differently. It’s really taught me about the importance of patience and perseverance.”

  2. I should also add – zero problems with dating someone with a disability like yours. Not even a factor.
