Where’s the best place to buy a computer?

  1. Based on what?

What country are you in? Are you looking for something specific? Certain features? Certain price range?

  2. “Best” is subjective based upon what you’re looking for. But if you’re just looking for something to run household task, internet browsing, streaming… Best Buy, Office Depot and Staples. They’ve got decent selection and reasonable prices.

  3. If you want something pre-built, I would say find one at Best Buy, but check Newegg for the exact same one to see if it’s lower. BB will price match items sold and shipped by Newegg, as well as Amazon. If you want a gaming computer and like Legos, just build one. Pcpartpicker will help you to either follow a guide or build your own to whatever specs you want. Building a PC is very easy if you can understand pictures and a few words, the manuals are super build-friendly, even for first timers

  4. I buy all my electronics from Best Buy. I have a MacBook Pro for my computer and I bought it from there. I love that store. No complaints about their service or the laptop.

  5. There is not really a best place to buy a computer, IMO. It’s really whatever is the best price you can find for whatever you’re looking for. When I’ve bought pre-builts in the past, I typically do a little research and find where the best performance for dollar area is and then figure out what the best price I can find is and go with that.

  6. Laptop or desktop? General purpose, or gaming machine?

You’re going to need a little more info to get an accurate answer.

  7. Amazon, eBay, Newegg, etc. Any of the marketplace sites where the refurb sellers operate. I have had excellent success buying refurbished computers.
