Just wondering what your favorite part of marriage is in the week to week cycle, when nothing out of the ordinary is going on?

I’ll start.

Mine is definitely Friday afternoons (I’m off on Fridays), when my wife gets home from work, then we either cook or go somewhere local for dinner, although I’m partial to cooking at home with her with music and some drinks. This usually leads into an evening of drinks and conversation ending with Friday night sex (the best sex).

A close second would be waking up before her on Saturday mornings and enjoying a pot of coffee and reflecting on the consistently perfect previous evening.

  1. I miss coffee chats the most. After being divorced for almost half a year, one thing I miss are those Saturday morning chats. Sitting together on the table eating toast and sipping hot coffee before our son woke up – the memories are very strong of that.

  2. Trying to plan our weeks meals. I’ve got a dry erase board that I write on as we also add groceries for a Safeway delivery. Just a simple process of going through the days and talking about food and what we’re going to do.

  3. Chats on long walks, and cuddle sessions where we just lie in bed and chill out until we eventually fall asleep.

  4. When we get to share our morning Nespresso in bed, with the curtains drawn and door closed. I always make the coffee. It’s so good. But the company is even better. Sometimes we sit and sip in silence and other times we have great conversation. But each time is perfect. I wish I could bottle those moments.

  5. Mine is Fridays too – we meet at the pub, haveca few drinks then meal out or a takeaway. It’s lovely

  6. On weekends we like to stay up late eating snacks, smoking weed and watching Netflix. We let the A/C run through the whole house and fall asleep on the couch. We’re in our 30s but when we do this it feels like I snuck over to my boyfriend’s place while his parents aren’t home 😅

  7. Sunday evening is a contender. We do all of our cleaning, laundry, fresh sheets, shower in the afternoon. Then usually crawl into bed around d 730 and watch a movie. It’s just so comforting

  8. Snuggling on weekend mornings. Our weekday alarm goes off at 5:50, we snuggle for 15 minutes, then I get up and work out/get ready for work. It’s just not enough time. On weekends (or days off) we snuggle to 9:30-10am unless we have plans like the grandkids coming over.
